The Taiwan-Singapore-Thailand Workshop series on Library and Information Science (LIS) Research was initiated by LIS researchers in Taiwan, Singapore, and Thailand. The first Workshop was organized by the National Taiwan Normal University in Sep. 2008, the second by Khon Kaen University (Thailand) in Nov. 2009, and the third by Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) in Jan 2011. It is now time to visit Taiwan again in Mar 2012 for the 4th Workshop! In order to broaden the participation and emphasis the collaboration spirit of the workshop, the name of the workshop series is changed to Workshop of the Asia Library and Information Research Group.
The purpose of the Workshop series is to promote collaboration among LIS researchers, educators and professionals in Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand. LIS colleagues from other countries who agree to the spirit of the workshop are very welcome to participate.
The specific objectives are:
• To initiate and carry out regional collaborative projects
• To establish regional library and information research groups
• To obtain expert feedback on current research studies
A PhD symposium is included in the Workshop to promote networking among PhD students.
The 2-day Workshop is free to registered participants and is open to:
